Easter Holiday Club

We enjoyed a fabulous Easter Holiday Club at the beginning of April. We hope the children had lots of fun!

A highlight was the visit by Morag Hood, author and illustrator of brilliant kids books. The group loved her story-telling, interactive illustrating presentation and they produced some fabulous illustrations themselves!

We also enjoyed lots of Easter crafts, treats and activities, from egg hunting, puppet making and of course chocolate nibbling!

Registrations 23/34

Our registrations for next school year opened and we are delighted that so many of our families want to return and increase their sessions, plus we have had lots of applications from new families. Unfortunately our Care Inspectorate determined capacities mean that some people will be disappointed. Our administrator Elaine and the management team, supported by our Board of Trustees have been working hard to ensure that the system is as fair as it possibly can be, according to our allocations policy. We are also reviewing our registration and allocation policy very soon to ensure that we reflect our families’ needs and offer the fairest service possible going forward in the future. We hope that our current members have been offered at least their current sessions and the few spaces left will go to siblings of our current members and then those who have been on our waiting lists for longest. There will be plenty of movement once the new term is underway so don’t despair if you have not been offered a place at this stage. We hate to disappoint families when we know childcare is so important to you, but we hope you understand the reasons. Please speak to me (Becky, Manager) at any time to chat.

Summer Club 2023

Our Easter Club is only just done and it’s time to plan for the Summer already!

We have a really fun, packed programme nearly ready to go. We have some tried and tested classics and some new exciting activities, events and trips planned, plus some returns that we haven’t done for a few years. We are finalising some bookings and will launch as soon as possible, (with some provisos that activities may need to be swapped or replaced by a similar activity, as we are waiting to hear back from some exciting potential visitors, events and outings). But we know you are waiting to book and so the booking form and programme will be launched in the week of 8th May, and then we will work through bookings and allocate on a first come, first served basis according to our staffing and the activity planned. Please allow 28 days after applying, for your allocation email, and please accept and pay to secure your place within 5 working days (a deposit and staggered payments can be arranged in the case of large bookings).
