| Good bye Lana! We were very sad to announce that Lana will be leaving TASC after nearly 10 years on the team. Lana has been at the heart of the Club and we are really sorry to be losing her. I’m sure you will join me in wishing her and her family all the best as she takes on new post and a new chapter in her life. Good Luck Lana! |
| Holiday Club We hope that all the children who attended the Holiday Club enjoyed themselves with trips to the cinema, Tumbles and out and about locally, autumn crafts and other fun activities. Our next Holiday Club is in February and booking will open after the Christmas break. People who pick up We know that sometimes you need other people to pick up your child (extended family/neighbours/other parents/new partners etc). Please could you let us know by text or email if someone new/different is going to be picking up. We hate to seem rude to people picking up but I hope you appreciate we can’t just send your child away with someone different, even if we know that person already. If it a regular arrangement, speak with us so that you only need to let us know once. We are thinking about ways we can make this less cumbersome for you – if you have any thoughts please let us know but in the meantime please let us know any changes to pick up personnel. And just another reminder, please let us know directly if your child is absent – school will not automatically let us know! Thank you to everyone for your help with this, it makes such a difference at the start of a busy session. A Letter from our Board of Trustees Dear parents and carers, We’re getting in touch to let you know about some planned increases to the Towerbank Afterschool and Holiday Club fees. From the start of the new term in January 2023, our new fee structure will be as follows:- Current cost p/session Cost p/session from Jan 23 Breakfast Club £4.00 – £4.40 Afterschool Club (Mon – Thurs) £9.00 – £9.40 Afterschool Club (Friday) £14.00 – £14.40 Holiday Club* £30.00 – £31.00 One of Registration Fee p/child £15.00 – £15.00 *Please note, depending on the activities planned on the day your child is booked in, there may be an additional surcharge of no more than £5.00 to pay. This will be advised when the Holiday Club schedule is published. Why are we increasing our fees? We appreciate that this rise is coming at a time when we are experiencing price increases in all areas of our lives and it is important to let you know that this decision has been carefully considered. TASC has not implemented a fee increase for over two years and indeed in this case has postponed the planned increase by a few months in recognition of the Cost of Living Crisis. We must however honour our commitment to be a Living Wage employer. This ensures yearly increases for all staff, and reflects our wishes to support colleagues as much as we can throughout the Cost of Living Crisis (and beyond!), to retain the best people, and to make any future recruitment as attractive as possible. In addition, this rise will also help to offset some of the increased costs TASC is now seeing in relation to fresh produce and resources. Finally, it will support us to reinvest in the club by purchasing new equipment, play materials and technology. We will be in touch soon with more details on that. Going forward, we will be reviewing the TASC fees on a yearly basis. This is not necessarily with a view to increasing fees but to ensure they are fair and sustainable – for our users and our staff – and in line with other similar child care providers. Pick up timings reminder Just a reminder – we close at 5.45pm Monday – Thursday and 5.30pm on a Friday. We are insured up to these times and the school gets locked up, as well as staff needing to catch buses home so we really appreciate prompt pick ups. Thank you! |
