Indoor pick up location reminder
As the weather and the light starts to change we will sometimes be in the playground when you pick up from After School Club but increasingly we will be indoors. When we’re indoors please pick up from round the side near nursery (not the main registration door). There’s a door right round the corner of the big glassed area with the new decking and a doorbell in case we’re busy or can’t see you if it’s dark. In this new post-covid world you are welcome to come inside to pick your child up, but we request that you don’t gather in the hall and chat with other parents for too long as it can be disruptive to children’s play and distracting for staff.
Wheels in the playground: Helmet reminder
Please ensure that your child has a helmet if they would like to ride a bike or scooter at TASC as we cannot allow them to ride without one. To help to avoid undue distress for the children please could you remind them at home that they will always need to wear a helmet at TASC.
Following our review of the use of wheels in the playground, in discussions with our insurers, this is our current position:
Scooters and bikes may be used but only with a helmet and with relevant risk assessments in place
Skateboards and rollerblades/skates are not allowed at TASC
Staff can prevent children from riding at any point if there are too many children or their speed, control or style of riding is deemed to be inappropriate/dangerous
We hope that you are happy that this reflects opportunities for children to enjoy their bikes and scooters but also aims to mitigate risks to child safety.
Thank you for your support in this.
New TASC staff
We are delighted that we have recruited two new members of the TASC staff team. Heather and Sophie have fitted in brilliantly and are getting to know your children. They are both working all termtime sessions so I hope you’ll all get to know them well very soon. Here’s their photos so you can recognise them. (L to R, Heather, Sophie). To see photos of all our staff please go to our staff page on our website

Advance Christmas Closing Notice
On the last day of term, Tuesday 20th December, we will be closing at 4pm following the early school closing and TASC parties for all the age groups of children.

Gentle fee reminder!
Thank you very much to parents who are up to date with their fees and who are all set up for the new school year. Fees are due at the end of each month, please can you ensure that you pay your fees on time or set up your regular payment mechanism, to avoid Elaine having to spend a lot of time chasing up unpaid fees.

If you have any queries or issues about fees please contact Elaine to discuss it and ensure you don’t build up a debt which may become difficult in the future, especially at this uncertain time.
Thank you

Children’s own toys/games
We are seeing quite a few children bringing their own items into TASC. Now that covid restrictions have been lifted, this is fine and we understand that children may like their special toy or a favourite book to enjoy while they are at TASC.
We would however like to discourage children from bringing in Pokemon cards as these can be very valuable and the risk of unwise swaps or irrevocable damage is high.
Children are responsible for all toys/games or items from home that they bring to TASC and though we always do our best to retrieve lost items or prevent damage to them, accidents may happen and unfortunately we cannot be responsible for any losses or breakages.
If something is very special, I would recommend keeping it safe at home!
Thank you for your support and co-operation in this.

Permission to leave TASC unattended/with a minor
If your child is in P5-7 and you would like them to have a bit more independence by walking home on their own or with friends/siblings we are happy to facilitate this in partnership with you.

Please fill out the Permission form found on our Downloads page here and send it to me at becky.tasc@gmail.com with your instructions (or request a hard copy at club).
