Summer is Coming!
As we head towards the end of this school year, we have been busy preparing a fun programme of events for you during the Summer.
So we are delighted to launch another fun programme of activities for 4th July to 12th August. The deadline for applications is 10th June, with payment deadline of 17th June.
Once children have been offered a session we ask families to pay promptly (within 5 school days of the offer) to secure sessions and so that we can buy tickets, equipment and pay our staff!
The Booking form can be found HERE
See below for daily info. We hope that all these activities can go ahead as planned but if there are any unforeseen changes needed a session will be replaced by a similar activity. Except for “big trips” all outdoor activities are weather dependent.
We hope it will be loads of fun!
Registrations 22/23

We have had lots of applications for next year and Elaine has been working incredibly hard dealing with a new system and an over-subscribed club for the first time since she or I have been at TASC (we both joined the team during the pandemic).
We have been trying very hard to stick to our allocations policy (found on our Downloads page) and be as fair as possible. Some families will not receive extra sessions applied for or a place for siblings just yet but we hope that once everything has settled down all our current members will be happy with their offer and we will be able to welcome new families to TASC. We are very happy to talk things through with you and explain the process if that helps.
Snacks

We have been reviewing our snacks recently in line with Scottish Government guidance on Healthy Eating for After School Clubs (found on our Downloads page). This means we have had to reduce some items from our regular menu, or take some out altogether that do not reach the standards of the guidance – we hope you will support us in trying to give your child the best possible snack options for their health and well-being. If your child gets particularly hungry, we ask parents/carers to provide extra snacks in their bag and plenty of water ( this is vital on holiday club days, especially for trips out).
Covid-19: “Stay at Home” Advice

The latest Scottish Government guidance for our sector relating to covid-19 is:
children and young people with mild respiratory symptoms such as a runny nose, sore throat, or slight cough, who are otherwise well, can continue to attend their education setting (including early learning and childcare);
children and young people who are unwell and have a high temperature should stay at home and avoid contact with other people, where they can. They can go back to school, college or childcare, and resume normal activities when they no longer have a high temperature and they feel well enough to attend

We are asking all our TASC families and staff to follow this advice to protect everyone. We continue to Risk Assess against the spread of infectious diseases and follow the other current advice on the ongoing covid risks, but most protective measures have now been lifted.
